Ben Schwartz
Ben Schwartz is an American comedian, writer, director, voiceover artist, and actor. Ben is best known for his roles on comedy shows like "Parks and Recreation," "House of Lies," and "Space Force" where he plays a recurring or supporting character. Ben Schwartz has also been in a few short films and written for TV shows and movies as a freelancer.
Ben Schwartz has been making people laugh and doing sketches since he was young. While at Union College, he and some friends joined a comedy group called "Hot Sauce." He played a hilariously spoiled affluent child on the TV sitcom "Parks and Recreation." He has also shown how good he is as a voice actor by voicing many popular characters in shows and movies for kids and adults in recent years.
Early Life
Ben Schwartz was born and raised in New York City's Bronx borough. His father was a welfare worker and then became a real estate agent. His mother taught music at a school. Ben Schwartz used to play basketball and sing in the music choir in high school. He went to Union College to study anthropology and psychology.
Career
In 2010, Schwartz played arrangement specialist Bill Hoyt on the NBC spy show Undercovers, created by J. J. Abrams. In September 2013, Paramount Pictures hired him to remake the 1991 parody Soapdish, which they renamed El Fuego Caliente and changed from an American drama to a Latin telenovela. He also pitched a different idea to Universal Studios based on an idea by Brian Grazer, which they agreed to make. He was a staff essayist for the third period of Robot Chicken on Adult Swim. He also wrote on his own for the Weekend Update segment of Saturday Night Live and the monologues for the Late Show with David Letterman.
He and Bill Hader worked on Star Wars: The Force Awakens as voice actors. Schwartz also made an appearance in the movie as a Stormtrooper.
Ben Schwartz started giving Dewey a voice in the Disney XD version of DuckTales in 2017. He plays himself in Home: Adventures with Tip and Oh's 2017 Christmas special, Home for the Holidays, which also features Kelly Clarkson. In August 2018, it was said that Ben would voice the main character in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
