Chris D’Elia
Chris D'Elia is a famous actor, comedian, writer, and podcast host. He has a huge fan base, and his comedy shows are one of the top-rated ones in the country. Although D'Elia started his career by acting in high school days and later with guest roles in Chicago Hope, he slowly turned to comedy around 25.
By this time, he had also started writing scripts, which only helped him come up with humorous and impeccable content when he began doing stand-up comedy.
Rise as a Comedian and Actor
D’Elia had his first set at Haha Café in North Hollywood and called himself a comedian who could act. Later, he went on to do several gigs for television, most notably on Showtime's Live Nude Comedy and the series Glory Daze on TBS. He has also been featured on Comedy Central Presents and Live at Gotham on Comedy Central.
D’Elia also starred in the comedy series Whitey alongside Whitney Cummings. In addition, he slowly started working on his podcasts which were as engaging and humorous as one could imagine. His Ten Minute Podcast with Will Sasso and Bryan Callen was an instant hit. He also gained over two million followers on Vine.
D’Elia also diversified into other forms of entertainment, though comedy was always the central feature of all his performances. He released a parody rap album as MC “Chank Smith" called Such is Life.
D’Elia hit another milestone when he performed for an hour-long stand-up show titled the White Male Black Comic that also aired on Comedy Central. He also had three subsequent comedy specials: Incorrigible in 2015, Man on Fire in 2017, and No Pain in 2020.
Although D’Elia starred in TV shows as an actor, comedy has been his stay. He appeared on the sitcom Undateable as a part of a group of friends who were in some way undateable. The show involved stand-up comedians improvising on camera. That they had been friends since before the show added to the camaraderie. The show was one of a kind and had a dedicated fan base.
D’Elia also participated in the “Leafly 420 Comedy Tour” in Chicago with special guest Ron Funches. His tours are always unique and deal with several aspects of daily life, making them so relatable.
