It is the modern-day Christmas classic, and it is to make everyone start embracing the inner Elf.
The Plot
Buddy overhears the rest of the elves discussing how he is a human during the leadup to Christmas and does not realize it. He gets devastated, and Santa should reveal to his wannabe elf that baby Buddy gets mistakenly crawled into his bag of gifts by Santa. It was on Christmas Eve several years earlier, and it got transported to the North Pole throughout its return home from Santa. Buddy then decided to travel to New York City to locate the real father with the blessing of Santa.
Being shocked that they are his father, he can be on the list of naughtiness where he gets surprised. It is where his half-brother does not believe in Santa. How can it be? Buddy had decided to change his new family's entire behavior and outlook and bring the real meaning of Christmas back into the City of New York. He then discovered friendship, real identity, and romance. Elf is the modern-day holiday classic that focuses on spreading the cheers of Christmas for everyone to hear.
The elves have love interests in the world of holiday musicals. The plot is set up where the Elf meets up with a girl while the Elf loses the girl. The girlfriend of Buddy or Jovie plays Sufia Sherief. She had shared her misgivings about Buddy with New Fall in Love. She then returns to Buddy with a more humanized elf with the robust reprises of the Christmas sound. Everything ends on a good note as the Elf gets the girl.
In the end analysis, Elf, the Musical offered a bit of a different take on an older story that places the human face on the helpers of Santa and the man in the red suit. The show is a good bet for holiday entertainment judging from the audience's reaction, or it can be simple family fun.
