Pete Lee is the first comedian to have ever received a standing ovation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. As a result of this, he appeared thrice on that show that same year.
The humor that Lee brings about is often credited to his Midwestern background. He grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin, and always wanted to have a career in entertainment.
Career and Achievements
Lee made his debut on television through Comedy Central's Premium Blend, after which he moved to New York City. Soon after, his performance was featured at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, in which he got recognition for being a standout performer.
His performance on NBC's Last Comic Standing marked his network television debut in 2008, reaching the semi-finals. His acting debut on TV came about with As the World Turns, a soap opera.
Le filmed his half-hour comedy special for Comedy Central in 2008, which multiplied his fame immensely, leading to him performing at 500 colleges throughout the United States of America for the next decade.
Somewhere along the way, Lee started to edit and produce his own shows for the online world, leading to him developing his own web show on MSN.com. The show was known as New York Minute: 30.
He was approached to be a writer and member of the cast at FUSE TV's Video on Trial and also the NFL Network's Top 10's. Being a part of the writing team along with the cast also happened for him for VH1's Best Week Ever for a period of three seasons.
Lee appeared on TruTV's Greatest Ever and was given the opportunity to host his own segment on Nickelodeon's Nicktoons in coordination with the NFL. It was known as NFL Rush.
He appears regularly on TruTV's Comedy Knockout and Comedy Central's Roast Battle. Lee was part of a documentary that his fans can find on Amazon and iTunes, and it goes by the title of I Need You to Kill.
