Some Like It Hot
Hollywood isn't the only place that misses the jazz era. Many theater lovers, too, want to see the music coming alive once again with all its blues and subtlety. But, only a handful of productions so far have been able to do justice to both the music and the musical.
Thankfully, the upcoming off-Broadway show featuring music by Marc Shaiman is all set to change your jazz experience forever.
The show is Broadway-bound owing to its Off-Broadway success and the lyrical magic of Wittman. Some Like It Hot is a combined effort of its cast and music crew that brings forth the magical music during the age of prohibition and everything around it.

The Story Of The Artists By The Artists
The show, under the direction of Casey Nechlaw, follows the acting talents of Christian Borle and J. Harrison Ghee. Adrianna Higgs and Kevin Del Aguila. Each of these artists will depict the gone era on stage and the trials and tribunals of artists who chose to play music during that time.
The show has borrowed freely from the book and the costume inspiration from the Hollywood classic of the same name. However, the settings and staging might give you a different window to see these characters brought to life again.
An Intriguing Tale
The show is worth all the buzz because it is conceived by the same brain that once gave us hit musicals like the Book of Mormon. Now, with Some Like It Hot, the genre of romantic comedy musicals is all set to make a debut again this fall.
As for the storyline, the plot still covers 1930s Chicago, where artists Joe and his timid friend Jerry are both in love with their Jazz Music. While each of these individuals is trained in their instruments and is exploring their talents, their life undergoes a whirlwind after a raid ensues on their usual music spot.
Jazz music has always been a symbol of resistance. Hence, this duo, along with the other characters like Toothpick, gets caught in the web of politics and social order. This wild goose chase becomes the entire plotline, keeping the audience hooked.
