Camelot
Camelot by Loewe and Lerner reveals the legend of King Arthur and his legendary Knights from the Round Table to life with an extraordinary score and a story poignantly dramatizing the conflict of people at the core of the classic tale.

The Storyline
The story depicts the journey of Gueneverer to Camelot to become the Queen of Arthur. The whole court, instead of Arthur, whom she had never met, arrives to greet her. Shy and nervous, he goes into hiding in the woods. Then he is joined by Guenevere, who slipped away from the ceremonial welcoming.
They soon got charmed and set forth into a happy wedding.
Magician Merlin tutors Arthur and gets lured away; however, it is not before he inspires Arthur to favor the establishment of brotherhood and peace.
Arthur's Order of the Round Table fame brings the cream of knighthood from Europe to Camelot. None of the knights is more popular than Lancelot du Lac, although the courtiers and the Queen consider the young Frenchman's reputation inflated.
Lancelot instantly defeats all three knights in the jousting matches; while the Queen gets attracted to him, he finds himself in love with her. Torn between love and devotion to Arthur, he seeks permission to leave Camelot for the foreign conquests.
Two years later, he returned to being the Round Table knight, soon realizing that he still is in love with Guenevere. Arthur's illegitimate son, Mordred, arrives at Camelot to dishonor the King for gaining the throne.
Modred then locates Lancelot in the chamber of the Queen, accusing him of treason. Lancelot escapes. However, Guenevere gets sentenced to burn, and she gets rescued by Lancelot, who takes her off to France at the last moment. Arthur now starts waging war against France, although he forgives Guenevere and Lancelot before the beginning of the battle.
In the end, the love of Lancelot and Guenevere does not last. They meet with Arthur to surrender however he refuses to execute them as he has good feelings for both.
The finale of this musical depicts Arthur meeting Tom, a young boy with lofty dreams of joining the Round Table of Arthur.
Arthur is touched by the purity of heart of the boy and decides to knight him and send him off to England to teach him the ways of the Round Table.
