Denver Broncos Games
The “Denver Broncos” is a professional American Football team situated in Denver, Colorado. The team is part of the West Division, which plays in the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League (NFL).
In the year 1960, the team had their first appearance in the field being the charter member of the American Football League (AFL). The team formally joined the league under the ownership of Pat Bowlen in the year 1970 during the AFL-NFL merger. The team’s first head coach was John Fox.
For over 40 years since the year of the its franchise, the team used to play their home games at the Mile High Stadium. After the year 2000, the team has moved their games at the Sports Authority Field located in the Mile High.
The team’s first seven years in the American Football League (AFL) turned out a little unsuccessful. In fact, at the time of their 10-year run in the league, they were recognized as less competitive and have never reached the playoffs. From the year 1960 until 1973, the team had consecutive streaks of losing game seasons. In the year 1977, the team made their way to the playoffs and have reached to the Super Bowl XII for the first time in their history of franchise.
When the Broncos reached the year 1975, the team showed improvements and won several seasons. The team has become part of the NFL’s line up of successful teams, they only had six losing records out of the 40 seasons played after the year 1975.
The team has featured four players in the Pro Football of Fame, namely John Elway, Garry Zimmerman, Shannon Sharpe and Floyd Little. They also won two Super Bowl championships and a total of seven American Football Conference championships in the NFL.
Even for a fact that the team has been through different struggles and their early years in the league didn’t appear quiet good, the Broncos proved that there’s always hope in every defeat.
